UA’s Senior Vice President of Research and Innovation made visits to the Arizona congressional delegation in Washington, DC last week.

More than five months after the end of Fiscal Year (FY) 2021, Congress was able to get a FY 2022 bill over the finish line and to the President’s desk just as another potential government shutdown loomed.

In the FY22 omnibus, UA secures $143.2 million for the UA-led NASA Near-Earth Object Surveyor Mission. The critical mission would make significant progress in identifying the majority of NEO's large enough to cause severe regional or global damage.

Arizona Representative Jennifer Pawlik from Legislative District 17 joined the College of Nursing faculty and the state relations team for a tour of the University of Arizona’s Gilbert site. The location is in the heart of Downtown GIlbert and is anchored by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program that emphasizes integrative health by blending conventional medicine with complimentary approaches to Mind-Body-Spirit and wellbeing.
